With the participation of every faculty and staff member, Baylor University will continue to maintain its role in the support of our community. Our goal this year is for 1,000 employees to give $12/month to the General Impact Fund. You will have the opportunity to do so during our United Way Workplace Campaign from September 6 – November 30. If you can sacrifice one coffee and burrito a month, you will provide 27 families with breakfast for a week, a 3-night stay for a Wacoan family escaping abuse, 55 students with afterschool programming, and 5 prenatal follow-up visits for low-income pregnant women.
If you are financially able to consider making a donation to the United Way beginning in January 2018, please do so and choose from one of the various options noted below:
Each of these options allows you to choose your method of contribution:
By giving at either 1% of your salary per month for 12 months or 1 hour of pay per month for 12 months, you will be invited to join Dr. Livingstone for a reception honoring your generosity at her home. Additionally, your name will be entered in a drawing for the opportunity to park in one reserved spot in the parking garage at Clifton Robinson Tower or the opportunity to have an All Access Pass to Visitor Parking on campus. Special thanks to Dr. Linda Livingstone for hosting the reception and Matt Penney, Baylor Parking Services, for the kind donation of parking.
If you desire you can designate a particular United Way agency to receive your gift, but this is not required. The Waco McLennan County United Way allocates voluntary contributions to local member agencies that provide health and human services. By making a donation, you are ensuring agencies and programs receive funding throughout the year.
You can also choose to continue to build the Baylor Family Compassion Fund which will help those in need right here at Baylor. You can do so by checking the heart-shaped box on your pledge form.
