Baylor Faculty & Staff:
On April 23, President Livingstone announced in her weekly Presidential Perspective that Baylor is preparing for a phased return to on-campus work. Informed by the latest guidance issued by local, state and federal government officials and public health authorities, the University COVID-19 Task Force has developed a five-phase strategic reopening of campus.
The timing and specifics of these plans are highly contingent on the progression of COVID-19 in Waco and the surrounding area as well as continued local, state and federal guidance. As with all planning at this time, you are encouraged to remain adaptable to the changing environment as we navigate within this new "normal" together.
Each academic and administrative area has unique characteristics to be factored into individual departmental plans for a phased return to on-campus work. These plans include accounting for the number of personnel in the unit, physical work setting to allow for proper social distancing, work activities needing to be prioritized and level of service needed to provide to constituents. The leadership in your area will be communicating with you regarding specific department plans in the coming days.

We appreciate how swiftly you adapted to online instruction and telework. As we begin the phased return to on-campus work, we will need to be mindful of social distancing and other CDC guidance on preventive measures to ensure that our return is safe for the entire Baylor community.
