First Steps for Faculty 

1. Activate Bear ID.
2. Complete New Faculty Employment Forms online in Ignite.
3. Complete the Employment Eligibility Form (I-9) Section One prior to your first day of work. Present your original required documents from the list of acceptable documents at your virtual I-9 appointment with Baylor Human Resources.
4. Read the Benefits Overview. During Essential BU, you will hear more about benefits and have the opportunity to ask questions. 
5. Enroll in benefits using Baylor’s Benefitfocus^TM system. If you need to make benefit elections for the 2021 year, please email askHR@baylor.edu
6. Attend Essential BU for Faculty.
7. Prepare to attend New Faculty Orientation hosted by the Provost's Office
