For Faculty, Staff & Students

Preparation for Homecoming weekend includes parking lot & street closures, and vehicle relocations.

Homecoming Friday

Friday from Noon to 5:00 p.m. - All campus parking garages are reserved exclusively for faculty, staff and students with current parking permits. Those without current permits will not be allowed to park in garages before 5:00 p.m.

Friday at 5:00 p.m. - The following parking lots will be closed to general access and reserved for gameday parking. Any cars remaining in these lots after this time will be subject to towing and citation.

Homecoming Saturday

  • 2:00 a.m. - Parking lots at Highers-Simpson, Ferrell Center, the Speight Parking Garage, and the Law School will close. Any unauthorized cars remaining in these lots after this time will be subject to towing and citation.

  • 6:00 a.m. - Patrons with reserved gameday parking credentials may access their designated lots and spaces at McLane Stadium, Ferrell Center, Law School, Robinson Tower, BRIC, Dutton Parking Garage and Speight Parking Garage. Patrons will not be able to leave these lots/garages and return.

  • All day - a limited number of parking spaces in surface lots on the interior of campus, are available for fans attending Homecoming festivities.

  • Road Closures - There will be various road and exit closures to accommodate the Homecoming parade and football gameday:
    • 6:00 a.m. - 5th Street through campus
    • 6:00 a.m. - Both the south and northbound exits on I-35 for 4th-5th St. (Exit 335A)
    • 6:00 a.m. - Southbound exit on I-35 for Martin Luther King Blvd. (Exit 335C)
    • 9:00 a.m. - University Parks (Law School/Dutton Garage to Bagby Ave)
    • Permanent - Third Street between Baylor Avenue and Speight Avenue

Alternative Parking Options

The Baylor University Shuttle (BUS) Gold Route provides excellent express shuttle service from the Ferrell Center every class day from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The route stops along Third Street every 10 minutes.

*Visitor parking will NOT be available to faculty and staff on Thursday or Friday.
