Ella Hadacek
Research Interests
My research explores nineteenth century American Catholic memory of the Puritans, asking questions of gender, identity, and citizenship. In particular, I focus on Catholic claims of Puritan ancestry and the implications of these claims on Catholic identity. I am also interested in Catholic education and Catholic women's conception of self during the long nineteenth century.
