The Health Science Studies Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Option allows students to complete necessary prerequisite coursework required by medical and dental schools. Curriculum integrates coursework in human sciences, applied anatomy and physiology, public health, and an academic clinical internship. Medical and dental schools share common pre-requisites but often have specific or unique criteria. Students are encouraged to visit the specific program websites for detailed admission requirements.
2020 TEXAS MEDICAL CENTER HEALTH SCIENCE STUDIES PRE-MEDICAL COMPETITIVE INTERNSHIP
The Texas Medical Center Pre-Med Summer Internship is for Health Science Studies pre-med majors only. Interns will complete a 6-week internship consisting of weekly rotations through various areas of specialty. Students will be responsible for completing weekly assignments and an ethics paper as assigned by the faculty supervisor.
2020 NORTH DALLAS PRE-DENT COMPETITIVE SUMMER INTERNSHIP (SUMMER 2020)
6 week, exact dates TBD. Approximately 200 hour internship with the Who’s Who of Dentistry. Providers located in the Plano/Frisco area. Students are responsible for finding their own housing as well as having reliable transportation to and from the different locations. Students will spend approximately 1 week with each specialty.
