If the thesis option is not selected an internship or practicum experience must be selected by working closely with the HHPR graduate internship coordinator. The primary purpose of the Internship/Practicum experience is to bridge the gap between the academic present and the professional future. The internship carries a maximum of six semester hours while the practicum carries a maximum of three semester hours. To enroll in this capstone experience, students must have maintained at least a “B” average and completed at least 18 hours of graduate course work within the selected academic specialization. For more information, please contact the internship coordinator, Dr. Kim Smith.
