The purpose of these programs is to prepare students for careers as athletic trainers, coaches, exercise physiologists, health/fitness specialists, health educators, physical education teachers, and recreation & leisure specialists. Additionally, to provide a strong undergraduate preparation in health sciences so students can pursue degrees in physical therapy, occupational therapy, dentistry, medicine, and/or research in exercise, nutrition, and preventive health. The programs offer a comprehensive array of didactic courses and laboratory experiences designed to develop high quality professionals. Students pursuing the bachelor of science in education degree with teaching fields in health education and human performance must meet admission requirements to the School of Education.
