The Hardware Services team of Baylor ITS does not service personally-owned devices. The Campus Technology Repair Center located in the Baylor Bookstore on campus normally handles repairs on personally-owned devices; however, they are currently in search of technicians to support this service. The Bookstore has assured us that they will have technicians in place by Fall 2022. Campus Technology Repair Center technicians service a wide range of devices and are also Apple and Dell certified for warranty repairs. There are also a number of other technology service and repair shops in the Waco area.
Repairs on Baylor-owned Hardware
The Baylor ITS Hardware Services group is located on the first floor of the 5th Street Parking Garage behind the Baylor Bookstore. This team currently services Baylor-owned Apple, Dell and HP computers. They also service the campus-standard Hewlett Packard printers. The technicians in the Repair Center are certified through the manufacturer to work on these systems.
You can bring laptops and other portable equipment to the Baylor ITS Hardware Shop. However, if you require service on larger equipment such as desktop computers or printers, please submit a support ticket online, call HelpDesk+ at (254) 710-4357, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our technicians will either service your device on-site or properly move it into our shop for repairs.
