Personal Well-Being in Graduate School

The Graduate School is committed to the well-being of every graduate student. If you are experiencing stress or anxiety, you are not alone. In fact, "graduate students are more than six times as likely to experience depression and anxiety as compared to the general population" (Inside Higher Ed, 2018). Roughly, half of PhD students and more than a third of Master's and Professional students reported elevated symptoms of depression (Berkeley Well-Being Report, 2014).
