POLICY

The PROTECTION OF MINORS POLICY applies to Baylor youth programs as well as external youth programs hosted by a Baylor department held for a day, multiple days or overnight. 

The policy excludes matriculated students, general public events, field trips, IRB approved research, K - 12 school groups(accompanied by teachers), child care facilities, guest speakers, entertainers, campus tours or community events where parents are expected to provide supervision. 

The Policy includes university-wide background and screening process for faculty, staff, students and volunteers frequently working with children and also mandates instruction and or training for the conducting of or participating in programs involving minors.
