We are excited that you will soon be at Baylor! As you prepare for your arrival, below are some very important things for you to remember!
For the Fall 2019 semester, the arrival date for all incoming international students is Monday, August 19, 2019. This is on your I-20 or DS-2019, and you are expected to check-in with our office that day. Please come to the Center for Global Engagement in the Hankamer Academic Building Room 160 to check in. To view the Baylor campus map click HERE.
If you arrive before the Arrival Date, you will need to make plans to stay in a local hotel.
For those who will be living in on-campus Baylor housing, you may move in to your residence on the Arrival Date, Monday, August 19, 2019, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. (If you arrive after 5:00 pm, you will not be able to get your Student ID which is required for move in, so you will need to make hotel arrangements for that evening and move in the next day.)
International students are permitted to move in on August 19. If you receive an email from Baylor Campus Living and Learning saying that you have to move in on August 21 or later, you may disregard that email.
*Please note that if you will be living in Browning Square or the Quadrangle you may move in to your apartment the day your lease begins.*
On Saturday and Sunday, August 17 and 18, 2019, we will have transportation from the Waco Airport to several hotels in Waco. We will only deliver students to the hotels on the transportation list. If you stay in a hotel that is not on that list, then you will need to make your own transportation arrangements. The hotels where drop off and pick up will be provided are: *Please note that this list is tentative and subject to change.*
On the morning of Monday, August 19, 2019, we will also provide transportation to campus from the designated hotels on the list. We will pick up in the morning. You must be in the hotel lobby ready to leave by 8:00am if you want Baylor to bring you to campus.
On Monday, August 19, 2019, we will also have transportation from the Waco Airport and Bus Station to the Baylor campus.
Click HERE to access the International Arrival Form to sign up for Transportation to Hotels from the Waco Airport or Bus Station on August 17 and 18, and then to Baylor Campus on August 19, and for Transportation directly from the Waco Airport or Bus Station to Baylor Campus on August 19 through the International Arrival Form. (We only pick-up from the Waco airport, not Dallas, Austin, or Houston.) Be sure to select "Fall 2019" when beginning the form.
NOTE: If your flight or bus arrives to Waco on August 19 BEFORE 4:00 pm, you will be transported to the Baylor Campus. If your flight or bus arrives AFTER 4:00 pm on August 19, you will need to make arrangements to stay in a local hotel, and plan to move in on August 20. We will only transport to and from the hotels listed above.
