Obtaining Your Visa
1. Pay Your Enrollment Deposit
After receiving your acceptance letter from Undergraduate Admissions, pay the enrollment deposit online through your goBAYLOR account.
2. Go to Global Bears to complete your Immigration Status Form and Financial Certification
If you are receiving a scholarship from Baylor, please include a copy of your award notice with the form along with any other documents of financial support.
3. Obtain Your Immigration Document
After receiving your completed Immigration Status Form, Financial Documentation and supporting documentation, the ISSS office will issue your immigration document (I-20). Once the document is issued, you will receive an email regarding mailing options.
4. Pay the SEVIS fee
Access the SEVIS form I-901 online
and be sure to print your receipt so you can take it with you to your visa interview.

5. Schedule a visa appointment
Contact the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate in your home country or wherever you may be living outside of the U.S. and follow their procedures to schedule an interview.

6. Remember to go to your visa interview
It may seem odd that we would include this step but sometimes students forget to go! Write it down in your calendar.
You DO NOT need a visa to study in the U.S.
You DO need an I-20 or DS-2019 from Baylor
You MUST also pay the SEVIS fee and show your SEVIS fee receipt at entry into the U.S.
