Baylor University was founded in 1845 by a collection of churches and Christian leaders. The faithful support of Baylor’s alumni, parents and friends has sustained and grown the university from its small origins in Independence, Texas, to the respected and internationally-renowned institution we have today.
The 1845 Society honors that faithful giving to priorities and programs across campus that enrich the Baylor experience and advance academic and athletic excellence. There are two special ways to be recognized in the 1845 Society: as an honoree or as a loyalty honoree. Honorees receive special communications, event invitations and recognition for their support.

1845 Society Honoree
Alumni, parents and friends who give financially, at any level, to the needs of the University are recognized as 1845 Society Honorees for the calendar year.
As donors continue to give during the calendar year, 1845 Society also recognizes the following milestones:• $1,000
1845 Society Loyalty Honoree
We also celebrate our donors who have chosen to invest faithfully in the university year after year, by recognizing them as 1845 Society Loyalty Honorees. Once you have given for 3 consecutive years or 15+ years ever, you will be inducted into the 1845 Society Loyalty program, and we will recognize your continued philanthropic milestones.
