I came to Baylor as a transfer student from Mississippi College in the summer of 1952. I opted to come in the summer to learn my way around and not be overwhelmed in the fall when there were more students than my home town population in the Delta of Mississippi. I loved it. I lived in Burleson Hall, and that has remained one of the highlights of my education at Baylor. The next Fall, I lived in Army barracks, but it didn't matter - I was just happy to be at Baylor. The students, the professors, the buildings all enthralled me and I was thrilled in 1954 to receive my degree in Religious Education.
