WACO, Texas (Nov. 9, 2017) - Baylor University today announced a gift of $2.5 million from Lynda and Robert Copple of Frisco that will create the Lynda and Robert Copple Endowed Chair in Christian School Leadership within Baylor University’s School of Education. The gift will enable Baylor to attract a visionary Christian leader to lay the academic and intellectual foundations of the Center for Christian Education (CCE) and establish the Center as the preeminent provider of professional development for leaders of Christian schools and for Christian leaders in non-sectarian school settings.

WACO, Texas (Nov. 10, 2017) — Baylor University’s Mayborn Museum Complex has received a $10,000 community grant from The Allergan Foundation to support its participation in the Portal to the Public Network, which brings together scientists and public audiences to promote, appreciate and understand scientific research and its application.

WACO, Texas (Oct. 24, 2017) – Baylor University will officially inaugurate Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., as the 15th president in Baylor’s 172-year history during a public installation ceremony at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Ferrell Center. The ceremony will highlight a week of events centered on the Baylor and Waco communities, including a traditional Dr Pepper Hour, a “Family Dinner” for students along Third Street near the president’s home and academic symposia on transformational research by leading University faculty.
