Honors Residential College

Honors Residential College

Baylor University’s Honors College was the first academic unit to embrace the living-learning model on campus in 2004. More than 17 years later, the Honors Residential College (HRC) effectively integrates serious intellectual pursuits into the fabric of student life and campus life.

The HRC is a vital hub of the Honors College, where students from every professional school, and from nearly every major in Arts and Sciences, interact with faculty, learn from one another, engage in communal worship and service projects, organize mission trips, and exercise leadership.

The HRC is housed in two of the oldest and most distinguished residence halls at Baylor, Alexander and Memorial Halls. The Honors College has an unprecedented opportunity to refurbish and expand the HRC and to consolidate its faculty and professional staff in the adjacent Draper Academic Building, thus creating a vibrant center of honors education for more than 1,400 outstanding undergraduates. This expansion will better serve students and more strongly establish the Honors College’s identity on Baylor’s campus.
