The Honors Residential College (HRC) integrates into the fabric of student life the intellectual pursuits of the Honors College, which excels at delivering interdisciplinary programs that illuminate the interconnection between varied academic disciplines and produces graduates who consistently rank among the University's most accomplished scholars. Central to the life of the Honors College, the HRC houses students who represent a broad range of schools, colleges, and majors and serves as a venue for the vast majority of activities, public lectures, communal worship, and recruitment events in which they routinely participate.
Having demonstrated the effectiveness of the living-learning model for over a decade, the HRC has the reputation and momentum to be one of the best honors facilities in the nation, serving Baylor by attracting some of the brightest young intellectuals both nationwide and globally. A bold vision of completely refurbishing the facility and utilizing the currently unused area between Alexander Hall and Memorial Hall will provide for the consolidation of all Honors College students, faculty, and staff in one location and the full integration of faith and learning, scholarship and teaching, knowledge, and service to establish a world-class residential learning facility equal to those of the best honors colleges in the nation.
Each of us has been entrusted with a great light that can illuminate the path for future generations. When the Baylor Family gives financially to support University priorities, we give light to Baylor's bright future.
