First in Line provides resources to first-generation college students* to support student success at Baylor and beyond.

Will you be the first in your family to earn a college degree? Baylor University is pleased to welcome you as the first, or among the first in your family to attend college. Being a first-generation college student is a proud accomplishment. Baylor recognizes that you will face unique experiences as you begin this exciting journey and we look forward to supporting you!

*Note: Baylor defines a First Generation College Student as a student whose parents did not complete a four-year college degree. Older siblings having a four-year college degree do not disqualify students from the program.

$12,000 Scholarship Opportunity- First in Line Success Academy (FILSA)
FILSA offers students who will be the first in their families to earn a college degree an opportunity to participate in a vibrant learning community before the start of the semester and continuing through their time at Baylor. Students can also earn a $12,000 scholarship over their 4 years at Baylor or $6,000 over two years if they are a transfer student. Learn more:
