Responding in PrayerAug. 16, 2017
For over 170 years, Baylor has been faithful to our mission “to light the ways of time.” This simple and elegant line from our alma mater proclaims, in every singing, that we are called to illuminate, called to shine brightly, and called to share what light we have bear that others might see.
In these days, as we begin another school year and especially do so as our nation is struggling with a darkness upon us, we are called again to be faithful and “light the ways” of our time. Dr. Livingstone is challenging us to respond prayerfully this Friday. As individuals, as small groups, and as a gathered faith community, we are invited to pray.
You will find below, a link to our prayer guide that can be used in a personal time of prayer, or with colleagues, or with students. Though gathering conveniently in your own spaces may be the best option for you, we have also set aside two of our chapels for this day of prayer and the Chaplain’s office will be leading three corporate prayer services for those of you who would like to pray with the larger community.
