En la inscripción tendréis que explicar el desafío educativo en América Central o América del Sur que hayáis elegido y explicar la solución que hayáis diseñado. Las soluciones se evaluarán en tres rondas para tener la oportunidad de ganar hasta US $ 25.000. También se proporcionará tutoría a los mejores finalistas con la oportunidad de implementar su solución con Compassion.


Are you solving the educational (K-12) challenges in Central and South America caused by COVID-19? We want to hear your ideas  and welcome you into a community of problem-solvers and supporters.  Applying is easy and only takes about 20 to 30 minutes. You can access the application form here (in Spanish & English). In the application you will share your understanding of the education challenge in Central and South America and the solution you’ve designed. Solutions will be evaluated in three rounds for the chance to win up to US$25,000. Mentoring will also be provided for the top finalists with an opportunity to implement your solution with Compassion.

  • October 1 - Implementation support begins for selected innovations



Innovation Guidance
  • Solutions should work for low-income communities in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and/or Bolivia.
  • Innovations can apply to any of three educational settings: remote, remote/classroom hybrid, and/or physical classroom.
  • Innovations should address the holistic nature of children: physical, socio-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual.
  • Consider how innovations will fit in local economies and cultures to produce market-driven sustainability.
  • Provide special attention to educational access for children with disabilities, gender equity, and child safety.
  • Solutions can be focused on any person in the educational system including teachers, parents, students (5-18), and support staff.
  • Innovations may be high-tech, low-tech, or no-tech.
