Kanders Churchill Scholarship

The Kanders Churchill Scholarship in Science Policy offers a fully funded 1-year master’s in public policy in Churchill College at the University of Cambridge. Founded in 2017 by the Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States, the award was created to address the growing divide between science and science policy. It is a life-changing opportunity for STEM students to earn a fully funded master's degree at one of the world's leading institutions of higher education. The Kanders Churchill helps launch applicants to all manor of STEM-related careers, whether in science policy, research, clinical healthcare, hospital administration, or governmental work in organizations like the CDC, DOJ, EPA, and DOE.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in STEM, whether as a major or minor. Applicants must also be US citizens who are seniors when they apply or have graduated from any US institution. The deadline is in early October. There is no application for the Kanders Churchill itself. In the application to Cambridge, applicants indicate they are interested in being considered for the Kanders Churchill Scholarship. We will work with you from gathering more information about the award all the way through submission of your application to Cambridge. We typically begin working with applicants in late spring or early summer of their junior year, though please do reach out to us if you hear about the award later than this and we will gladly help you get caught up.
