Sydney Nicholson serves as a writing consultant for the Office of Engaged Learning where she helps students communicate their personal and career goals to awards committees. Sydney is also a graduate student in Baylor’s English Department where she specializes in 20th-Century British Novels. She particularly enjoys researching and writing about narrative theory, beauty and sublimity, and the depiction of social communities in literature. Before coming to Baylor, Sydney earned a BA from Mississippi College where she studied both English Literature and Spanish. While at Mississippi College, Sydney studied abroad in London, participated in the honors program, and served as a lead tutor in the Writing Center. Sydney spends her free time hiking, drinking tea, and holding long conversations with friends.
