              Join us for orientation!

                                                         Friday, September 22, 2017 at 4pm (Morrison 102)

Baylor Buddies is a partnership between Baylor University and Communities in School (CIS).  Through the program, Baylor students serve as mentors to children in the Waco Independent School District. Children range in age from early elementary school through middle school. Baylor Buddies allows Baylor students to act as positive role models, develop relationships with children in the community, and mature as leaders.

Baylor students who love service and working with kids!  Members commit to acting as responsible, mature role models.

Members meet with a “buddy” at his/her school once a week for an hour (as your schedule permits).  Members commit to the full academic year of service (September through May) and also participate in monthly campus/community events with all Baylor Buddies.

Having a positive, consistent role model and friend can significantly increase a student's chances of success and increase their self-confidence!

To sign up, please complete the application and return it to the Office of Community Engagement & Service (Martin House). Please print document one-sided only.  All individuals must attend a training session before the application can be processed.
