Baylor University’s Department of Computer Science Gaming Capstone Teams Introduce New Video Games to Public during Demo Event
Seniors in Baylor University’s Department of Computer Science will debut video games they developed in the program’s gaming capstone course during an open house on Thursday, April 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in room 240 of the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation on Baylor’s Campus.
Baylor student project combines studies and community service
WACO, Texas (KWTX) Saturday more than 2,000 Baylor students volunteered around Waco through the university's 'Steppin' Out' community service project.

One of those projects was a building competition where three teams of
engineering students created structures out of 6,500 canned goods that will be donated to Shepherd's Heart Food Pantry.

Volunteers with the National Society of Black Engineers say the project combines their studies and their desire to expand their service efforts.

Plans for smart houses in the future are slowly becoming more and more plausible. A house that does all the manual labor for the occupants, where dinner is ready on the kitchen table and all the amenities in a house are included in these plans. Thanks to Baylor University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and deep learning research, a future with smart houses is getting closer.
