Kendra Gagnon PT, PhD
Kendra Gagnon is Clinical Professor and Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy at Baylor University in Waco, TX. She has been in physical therapist education since 2005, and a core faculty member since 2008. Dr. Gagnon received her Master of Physical Therapy Degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001, and her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2009. She is a 2020 graduate of the APTA Fellowship in Education Leadership (formerly known as ELI).
Dr. Gagnon has held various state and national professional leadership roles, including service in the APTA House of Delegates and on the Boards of Directors of the Kansas Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy. She currently serves as the Digital Media Editor of the Pediatric Physical Therapy Journal. Her scholarly interests focus on educational research, and her recently disseminated work includes exploration of experiential learning in pediatrics, use of social media in education and practice, and hybrid DPT education. Her research appears in several peer-reviewed journals including Physical Therapy, Journal of Physical Therapy Education, Pediatric Physical Therapy, Advances in Neonatal Care, Journal of Allied Health, and Physical and Occupational Therapy in Pediatrics.
