Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the Baylor University Police Department operates marked patrol vehicles on campus, a bicycle unit, a Criminal Investigation unit, and a Crime Prevention unit.

Parking & Transportation manages all aspects of campus parking for faculty, staff, students and visitors.
Technical Security manages and administers call boxes and emergency telephones, card access systems, security cameras and intrusion/alarm systems.

Required emergency notification of positive COVID-19 cases on campus
As we begin the fall semester, Baylor University is required to send an Emergency Notification* under the Clery Act to all students and employees to ensure you are informed about where to access information regarding COVID-19 positive cases on our campus, important personal health and safety precautions and essential sources of information about the coronavirus.

'If You See Something, Say Something®’: Keeping Baylor’s Campus Safe
WACO, Texas (Sept. 23, 2019)- "If You See Something, Say Something®" campaign was launched in July 2010 by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Justice to encourage citizens to report suspicious activity. Since its launch, Baylor University has adopted the principles of the campaign to create a safer campus for students, staff and faculty.

I-35 Notice: Permanent Ramp and Bridge Removal Starting Sunday Night
WACO, Texas (May 10, 2019) – Beginning Sunday night, May 12, construction crews will begin the permanent closure of two direct-access ramps between Interstate 35 and Business 77. In addition, on Monday, crews will permanently close the 11th/12th Streets bridge that crosses over I-35.

Important I-35 Update: Full Mainlane, Frontage Road Closures May 28-June 1 for Pedestrian Bridge Removal
WACO, Texas (May 24, 2019) – Construction crews will permanently close the I-35 pedestrian bridge at 8th Street on Tuesday, May 28, with removal scheduled to begin that night in anticipation of the reconstruction of I-35 mainlanes. To keep crews and the traveling public safe, this will include overnight FULL southbound and northbound frontage road and mainlane closures throughout the week. Please read the information below so you can plan alternate routes to, from and around campus next week.
