Connect with Students
The Employer Relations team wants to partner with your organization to develop a successful recruitment strategy for Baylor students. Below are the many opportunities to connect with our students on campus, virtually, or even at your workplace location.
Career Fairs provide employers an opportunity to connect face-to-face with a wide range of students in a traditional networking booth format. Examples include: Fall HireABear Fair, Spring Internship & Career Fair, Summer Camp Fair, Teacher Fair, and Federal Day. For more information, please visit our Career Fair Info page.
Conducting mock interviews is a way to have one-on-one interaction with our students, provide professional development feedback, and help increase awareness of your organization on our campus. Mock interviews are typically scheduled during the week of a Career Fair.
Employer Office Hours:
If you’re making a trip to campus and would like to meet one-on-one with students, you are welcome to use our available interview suites. You can discuss your organization, provide interview tips, or offer resume reviews to the students you meet. CPD will help you schedule your student appointments.
Let us bring our students to you! A "Bear Trek” is a day-long trip where we take a small group of students to visit a few organizations in a major Texas city. Site visits may include a tour, presentation from leadership, information about career opportunities, and Q&A with current employees.
Information Session or Table:
While you’re on campus, you have the option of hosting an Information Table and/or Information Session to speak about your organization with our students. CPD will make all of the arrangements for your sessions. Rooms are reserved on a first come, first served basis at no charge to the organization. Audio visual equipment will be provided. If you are unable to come to campus but would like to share your opportunities with our students, contact the Employer Relations team to arrange a Virtual Information Session.
To arrange an interview schedule, contact Christie Walker, (254) 710-8662, at any time throughout the year. When possible, recruiting dates should be scheduled six weeks in advance. Your interview schedule will be managed by the Employer Relations team utilizing Handshake.
Recruiting opportunities are typically:
Fall: September – November
Spring: February – April
Each semester CPD sponsors a series of workshops on job search, résumé writing, transitioning to the work place and other related topics. If you wish to participate please call 254-710-8668 or e-mail Carolyn Muska
Other Career Events:
Contact our Employer Relations team if you are interested in participating in one of our specialized events such as a career panel or roundtable networking event. Panels consist of 4-5 professionals who participate in a moderated Q&A session followed by open networking time. Roundtable networking events are typically organized by profession or industry and include structured table conversations as well as open networking time.
