IMPORTANT - COVID-19 Test Update for faculty and staff

Baylor Faculty and Staff:

Because different people have different work situations, we wanted to update the guidance previously provided on the COVID-19 test kits arriving this week. This instruction supersedes the information emailed to you last Thursday.

  • If you are currently working on campus, please continue to do so and complete your test kit as soon as possible upon receiving it in the mail. You can continue to work on campus after taking the test and before the results are received. A negative COVID-19 test is required for on-campus employees to continue working on campus.
  • If you are currently teleworking, please complete the COVID-19 test you receive 7 days prior to your scheduled return to campus. Do NOT complete it before then. A negative COVID-19 test is required for working on campus.
  • If you intend to continue teleworking on an extended basis, in consultation with your supervisor, please keep the COVID-19 test kit and complete it 7 days prior to returning to campus. A negative COVID-19 test is required for current telework employees to return to a Baylor on-campus building, including for brief visits or drop-offs.
