COVID-19 Testing

As announced on Jan. 3, the University will begin the spring 2022 semester as scheduled and in person on Tuesday, Jan. 18, with precautionary measures in place through the first two weeks of the semester, including COVID testing.

Required testing within 24 hours of moving into Baylor Residence Halls

With Baylor residence halls opening as planned on Jan. 13, every student – vaccinated and unvaccinated – living on campus during the spring semester is required to take a free Baylor-provided COVID-19 test within 24 hours of moving into the residence halls. See dates, hours and testing locations below.

Required Twice-Weekly Testing

COVID-19 testing will be required twice weekly for unvaccinated faculty, staff and students at least for the first two weeks of the spring semester and will be reevaluated at that time. This requirement will begin the week of Jan. 10 for unvaccinated faculty, staff and student employees. Unvaccinated students will be required to test beginning the week of Jan. 17, with the first test having been completed by Jan. 18.

Masks are required to be worn in the testing locations. Please follow the signs for entering and exiting the testing sites.

  • Jan. 10-14: 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Cashion Academic Center Lobby
  • Jan. 15: 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Cashion Academic Center Lobby
  • Jan. 16: Noon-10 p.m., Cashion Academic Center Lobby
On-Campus Testing Hours/Locations Beginning the Week of Jan. 17-21, 2022

  • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., North Village Community Center (Students and Employees)
  • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Cashion Academic Center and Hankamer Academic Center (Students and Employees)
  • Wednesday & Friday, 9 a.m. to noon, Clifton Robinson Tower, 5th Floor (employees)
  • Wednesday & Friday, 1 to 2 p.m., Piper Child Development Center (employees)
  • Wednesday & Friday, 2:30 to 5 p.m., Washington Tower, 811 Washington Ave., Room 170 (employees)
If you are symptomatic, please stay home and contact your physician.
  • If you are a student and symptomatic, please log in to the Health Portal on the Health Center website to make an appointment for testing through the Health Center.
  • If you are an employee and symptomatic, please contact your healthcare provider for testing.

How to report a positive case

If you are a student or employee, please follow these procedures for reporting a COVID-19 positive test.

Confirming your vaccination/Uploading positive test within 90 days

If you are a student or employee and have been fully vaccinated, please confirm your vaccination by filling out the Confidential Employee Medical Record Form and uploading documentation of your completed vaccination card, including if you have had a booster dose. If you are a student or employee who has had a positive COVID lab test within the past 90 days, you also can use the Confidential Employee Medical Record Form to upload your test results. 

Vaccination appointments

If you are interested in receiving a COVID vaccine or booster, the Baylor Health Services vaccination clinic in the NVCC has reopened. Appointments will be available through the Health Portal on the Health Services website. For COVID vaccination appointments for spouses or dependents, you must call the Health Center at 254-710-1010 to make an appointment.
