Nonprofit Professionals Certificate


Baylor Continuing Education is proud to introduce our Nonprofit Professionals Certificate

Staff, volunteers and board members of nonprofits enroll in the Nonprofit Professionals Certificate to develop and enrich their foundational knowledge and skills effective leadership and service in the nonprofit sector. 



Certificate Requirements

  • 6 core essentials courses (36 hrs.)

    • Governance & Leadership

    • Financial Management

    • Fundraising

    • Planning & Evaluation

    • Marketing & Communication

  • 6 elective courses (36 hrs.)

    • Concentrated in one track of study to create a functional specialization

    • OR from a mix of tracks for a varied experience

  • Minimum of 90% attendance in each 6-hour course*

  • You must complete the required courses within three years

If you attended a Nonprofit Professionals course before fall 2019, it will be counted toward your certificate if you choose, and the three-year clock will begin with the next course you take.

These 6-hour courses typically meet on a Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.

All are welcome – you don’t have to seek certification to take our Nonprofit Professionals courses.

*Courses that carry CEUs managed through a professional organization may require a higher attendance rate to receive the professional CEUs.
