Campus Living and Learning wants to start the year off right by welcoming you to Baylor! We are excited for you to join us on-campus this fall.
Campus Living & Learning will be hosting a five day Move-In process to welcome you to your new home on-campus. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are designated as unassisted Early Move-In dates and are by appointment only. Students may select an Early Move-In appointment through their MyHousing portal. Wednesday, August 18, 2021, and Thursday, August 19, 2021, are designated as the university’s official Move-In dates, with students receiving assistance from students and other Baylor University volunteers.
Please ensure that your vehicle is packed in such a way that allows for efficient unloading – this allows our volunteers to move with ease when assisting you with your Move-In process. Be sure to label each of your items with your name and room number. A premade label can be downloaded and printed through your MyHousing portal. Additionally, you and your three move-in helpers may also bring furniture dollies or carts to help transport your items into your residence hall, but please note that access to elevators will be limited due to occupancy restrictions.
Move-in Date and Time Notification
In late July, students will receive an email with their official Move-In time and date. If you’re planning ahead and already have your official housing assignment, you can determine which is your official Move-In day by referencing the chart below.
After you receive your Move2BU assignment, you can make adjustments to your Move-In time or select an unassisted Early Move-In appointment through your MyHousing portal. There is no charge for Early Move-In, but registration is required through your MyHousing portal starting August 1, 2021.
Hangtags and QR Check-in
In August, you will receive information regarding your Move-In Hangtag. Move-In Hangtags are used by Baylor University Police and other Move-In volunteers to assist in routing traffic on Move-In days. The hangtag should be place in your vehicle’s front windshield upon arrive at Baylor University. Your hangtag will be accessible and printable via your MyHousing portal. Please print at least one copy for every vehicle in your party.
Early Move-in - (Sunday Aug 15, Monday August 16, and Tuesday August 17) should report directly to your hall.
Traditional Move-in - (Wednesday August 18 and Thursday August 19) should report directly to the Ferrell Center (1900 S. University Parks Drive). From there, you will be placed in a traffic pattern that will expedite your route to your hall.
Upon arrival to the hall, please have your QR Check-in Code ready. It will be located in your check-in email or on MyHousing. Simply show your phone to one of our staff to check yourself in.
