Impact

The Impact LLC is founded on the belief that addressing the world’s greatest problems begins with the IMPACT of education.

Located in South Russell Hall, the Impact LLC is a new endeavor for men and women of all majors and areas of study — from public policy to healthcare to business and beyond — who are looking to benefit from a community fully devoted to the impact that education and learning have in every aspect of life. Additionally, a total of 254 students reside in the Impact LLC. The LLC is 90% freshmen and 10% upperclassmen, giving students the classic freshman experience with the benefit of a premiere mentor program.

The Impact LLC offers a dynamic campus home, dedicated to the growth of members in its community; the students, staff, and faculty of the Impact LLC commit to developing as individuals who passionately embrace growth, enrich community, and engage challenges. The Impact LLC will create a community of learners who are diverse and equipped to transform the world. Unique leadership includes a Faculty In Residence, Faculty Partners, and a Student Leadership Council comprised of over 10 chairs, each mentored by a faculty or staff expert in their area of interest. Unique facilities include on-site technology in our Learning Resource Express, fitness room, game room, full kitchen, reflection room, classrooms, study areas on each floor, and a seminar room for student use.

The Impact LLC officially opened in August of 2015. The fully renovated building provides students with a meaningful on-campus housing experience. In addition to living in this close-knit community, students who are education majors will also have the opportunity to take some of their required Education classes in the LLC. The Impact LLC is a community where students of all backgrounds come together to develop their skills as future educators and leaders, collaborating with peers and faculty on a daily basis.
