Mission and Goals
The mission of the President’s Diversity Council is to promote diversity as a foundation of Baylor’s caring Christian community, in our continuous pursuit of excellence. The Diversity Council will support the University as it recruits, mentors, and retains diverse and thriving faculty, staff, and students. The President’s Diversity Council will continue to enhance and cultivate the Baylor experience where faculty, staff, and students are safe, welcomed, supported, and valued by the University and each other.

The goals of the President's Diversity Council are to:
- Advise the University administration on issues affecting diverse faculty, staff, and students
- Represent the interests and concerns of all diverse faculty, staff, and students in the university community
- Assess and monitor the institution’s performance in regard to representation and advancement of diverse faculty, staff, and students
- Assist and advocate in the development of policies and practices that promote the equitable participation and treatment of all employees and students
