Advanced Chinese, Contemporary Chinese Society and Culture, Chinese Lit and Culture I, Special Problems in Chinese, Intermediate Chinese, Societies and Cultures of East Asia, Elementary Chinese, Asian Studies Reading and Research

Dr. Wang's research interests include contemporary Chinese society and culture, and higher education reform in China. His current research project is China's emerging middle class and its social and cultural interests. He has published articles in this area on the Journal of Contemporary China, China: An International Journal, Modern China Studies, and contributed book chapters on the same topic. In addition, he has published articles on Chinese higher education and the book Higher Education as a Field of Study in China: Defining Knowledge and Curriculum Structure (2010, Lexington Books).
