Kelly Layne is a Clinical Associate Professor for the Baylor Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. She earned her Masters in Occupational Therapy (2001) and her Post Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (2003) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Dr. Layne is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Design from Walden University. She has held certifications in breastfeeding and cognition.

Dr. Layne has practiced in a variety of settings with adults and older adults including acute care, trauma ICU, inpatient rehabilitation, long term acute care, outpatient, and community-based practice. Her research interest include interprofessional education, simulated learning, and international collaboration. Dr. Layne has presented nationally and internationally on innovative educational practices. She has had articles on education, international collaboration, and community practice published in peer reviewed journals.
