Professor Kristina is a part-time adjunct professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the online Speech Language Pathology program. Kristina joined the Baylor faculty in 2019 to support the ongoing development of the Online Program. Kristina has been a practicing speech language pathologist since 2005 and has a variety of neuro-based clinical experience within a rehabilitation setting including acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient and skilled nursing. Kristina has clinical experience treating speech and language disorders, dysphagia, cognitive linguistic impairments related to brain injury, neurogenic disorders, stroke and traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. Kristina has a strong passion for speech pathology and loves supporting students in the learning process and support new clinicians entering into the field speech language pathology. Kristina often supports Baylor University SLP students within the Residential program at her clinical site of Baylor Scott&White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas within outpatient neuro rehabilitation setting for their semester long practicums. Kristina serves as (ASHA’s State Advocates for Reimbursement) STAR for Texas and is an active member of the Texas Speech Language Hearing Association (TSHA). Kristina serves on the Advisory Board for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Kristina is active her in local church and is involved in the Junior League of Dallas serving her local community.

Academic interests include clinical student supervision, aphasiology and clinical evidenced based practice of aphasia within clinical setting.
