Jill Williamson, ClinScD, CCC/SLP

Adjunct Professor, Online Program - Speech Language Pathology

Dr. Williamson is an adjunct professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Baylor University. She joined the Baylor faculty in 2019 and has practiced as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of clinical settings including public schools and private practice. She currently practices in secondary schools in South Carolina and currently serves as the President of the South Carolina Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Williamson also serves on a doctoral committee at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.   

Todd and Jill Williamson have been blessed with one son who loves the outdoors and plays high school sports.  Dr. Williamson is passionate about working with graduate students and working with her clients to improve communication through augmentative and alternative communication.  She is also currently involved in creating an Empower program to assist in the development of social and emotional growth in teens and is actively involved in her church, serving through music.  She considers her profession as a calling to serve others while sharing God’s grace.

 

Academic Interests and Research

Academic interests include fluency, language development, speech sound disorders and evidence-based practice.  Dr. Williamson has conducted research in augmentative and alternative communication, which is of particular interest.
