Senior Lecturer, Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical Supervisor of Communication Sciences and Disorders

Mrs. Donna Powell is the Director of the Neuro Clinic which offers treatment to clients exhibiting speech and language impairments which interfere with communication. This clinic is specialized to manage disorders such as aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, voice, cognitive/memory deficits, and concussion management.   Mrs. Powell is also a graduate supervisor in the General Clinic for the Baylor University Speech and Hearing Clinic.

Mrs. Powell joined the faculty at Baylor University in 1997 after several years of previous speech-language pathology work in various settings.

Mrs. Powell is married to her husband, Keith. Together they have two daughters, Katie and Grace, and one son, Preston. Preston and his wife Courtney have one daughter, Emma. Mrs. Powell and her family are members of the First Baptist Church, Woodway.

Academic Interests

Mrs. Powell’s academic interests include adult rehabilitation with a focus on aphasia, cognition, and motor speech disorders.
