Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders

Dr. Kathy Whipple is a Professor in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Dr. Whipple teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in child language areas of development and disorders, diagnostics and augmentative communication.  Dr. Whipple is the former Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and former chair of the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Her most recent research endeavors have been to evaluate the effectiveness of Hippotherapy on language disordered children. Dr. Whipple has been honored seven times as an outstanding teacher by the Mortar Board of Baylor University.
