Josh Stewart serves as the Worship Pastor at Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas, and has held this position since 2009. Growing up as a pastor’s son he was exposed to a wide-range of musical worship expressions that prepared him for leadership at Kingsland. Kingsland is a multi-generational congregation with a focus on equipping the home as the primary place where faith is transferred to the next generation. Previously, he served as Worship Associate at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia, where he directed the high school and middle school choirs; as well as, assisted in planning and leading worship in multiple types of service styles.
Josh is a graduate of University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology along with a minor in Church Music in 2004. He went on to earn a Master of Arts in Worship Studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010. Currently, he is involved in a local gathering of worship pastors called Multipliers Houston that is designed to mutually equip, encourage and disciple each other in regards to worship and church ministry.
Josh is married to Lacey whom he met in college, and they have two sons, Gavin (8), Titus (4), a new little girl, Sadie and a young lady named Brittney (20) they invited into their family.
