Dr. David Rogers is married to Alison and the father of their two children, Jack and Lucy. Since 2011 he has served as Lead Pastor of Arapaho Road Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. Before accepting the call to pastor at his current church, David served on staff at The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas over thirteen years from 1998-2011. His associate pastoral roles at The Heights included student ministries, community ministries, global missions and corporate worship strategist responsibilities. Originally a native of Waco, David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University followed by a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and finally a Doctor of Ministry degree from Truett Seminary. Since 2011 David has served as a part time faculty member at Truett Seminary primarily supervising doctoral students. He enjoys mentoring seminary and ministry students through the Ministry Resident Program at Arapaho Road Baptist Church. David has written two books, been published in the Truett Journal of Church and Mission, collaborated on a song with David Crowder and continues to write for www.skitguys.com where he serves as an author and team theologian since 2005. David also serves as a USA Strategic Advisor for www.Lionsraw.org , a global 501c3 that mobilizes passionate soccer fans around the world to engage in social action opportunities creating chances for change at home and abroad. He is an avid reader, connoisseur of good food, salt water fishing enthusiast, loves to travel, and is a passionate sports fan and season ticket holder of his beloved Baylor Bears.
