Rev. Kyle Damron has served as Minister of Worship at Westbury Baptist Church in Houston, Texas since 2004. Kyle administers all areas of Westbury’s music and worship activities including the weekly worship services that involve a wide variety of musicians and diverse styles. The music and worship ministry features a series of concerts and special worship opportunities throughout the year, a youth choir mission trip, and a weeklong fine arts camp for children each summer. The ministry consists of choirs for all ages four and up, a chamber vocal ensemble, a modern worship band, a jazz band, a handbell choir, and multiple keyboardists who play piano and organ. Kyle directs the adult choir, the youth choir, and the older children’s choir.
Kyle is a native of Oklahoma and received a B.M. in Church Music from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2000. He earned a M.M. in Church Music from Baylor University as well as a M. Div. from George W. Truett Theological Seminary in 2003. He is an active member of TCDA, ACDA, and Choristers Guild. In addition to serving on the CCMS board, Kyle participated in the 2011 Kenyan Mission trip with the CCMS and Baylor University Ministries.
