The Intramural Sports Graduate Student Employee assists the Assistant Director and Coordinator of Intramural Sports in the organization, administration and management of all Intramural sport competitions. The Graduate Student Employee is involved in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training and supervision of student staff, as well as the preparation, set up and effective running of specific intramural sports programs. The Graduate Student Employee ensures that competitions are run in compliance with the standards of the Intramural Sports program and the University.
The Fitness & Facilities Graduate Student Employee ensures the safe and efficient use of all facilities within the department of the Department of Campus Recreation. The GSE is responsible for all details and staffing of the day-to-day operation of the Fitness Center, and at times, the McLane Student Life Center, Russell Gym, Pullin Family Marina and any other on-campus recreational facility. The Fitness & Facilities Graduate Student Employee may be asked to assist with special programs, events and any other duties necessary for delivering quality service to our guests.
The Member Services Graduate Student Employee helps oversee and maintain a safe and positive patron experience within the Department of Campus Recreation. He/she is responsible for all Member Services Team staffing, training and management as well as supervising the day-to-day operation of the McLane Student Life Center, Russell Gym and Pullin Family Marina service desks. The Member Services Graduate Student Employee may be asked to assist with special programs, events and any other duties necessary for delivering quality service to our guests.
The Marketing Graduate Student Employee helps direct the marketing team in the development and implementation of all marketing and branding strategies promoting the activities, programs, and services of Campus Recreation. The Marketing Graduate Student Employee helps in the supervision of student workers, including scheduling, training, and mentoring students to create and implement marketing strategies that further the mission, programs, events and services of Campus Recreation.
The Graduate Student Employee assists the Associate Director and Coordinators of Outdoor Adventure (OA) with operations of a comprehensive Campus Recreation Outdoor Recreation Program. The Graduate Student Employee will be responsible for the daily operations of the Rock, Marina and/or the Challenge Course, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and supervising student workers. Additional responsibilities may include planning, developing, implementing, and supervising OA trips, clinics, and events. Evening and weekend hours are required.
The Sport Clubs Graduate Student Employee assists in the organization, administration and management of the sport club teams and their respective budgets. The Graduate Student Employee may also help with checking the eligibility of team members for tournaments and league play, scheduling of officials, and the recruitment of coaches and/or faculty advisors. The Graduate Student Employee ensures that integrity within competition is promoted and maintained in compliance with the standards of the University.
