Women's Soccer

Are there tryouts for your team?

Yes, they take place Tuesday through Thursday, August 23-25 beginning at 5:30pm at Intramural Sports Fields. Please arrive with enough time to allow time you to register and put on gear, we recommend arrival time at 5:00pm.

How many days and hours/week do you practice?

The team practices on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 2 hours. Practice takes place in the late afternoon/evening. Once you are a returning member of the team, we do require that you come back 5 days prior to the first day of class so that we can have two-a-days, set goals for the new season, and spend time together again as a team.

Typically where are your games/ practices held?

Our practices and home games are held on the Baylor Intramural Fields, which are located on La Salle Avenue on the back side of the Ferrell Center. Away games remain mostly within Texas, and we have the opportunity to travel together on a team. Very rarely do we miss classes for our away games, and it is a lot of fun to travel.

What schools do you compete against? What league are you in?

We compete against a lot of the major schools in the state of Texas; for instance, University of Texas, A & M, SMU, TCU, and more. We compete in the Premier Conference and have about 8 regular season games. At the end of the season, there is a regional tournament in which we compete for a spot to go to the National tournament. (The national tournament is normally in another state.)

What are the dues for this club team?

$200 per year

When is your season? Do you practice in the off-season?

Our season is in the fall, and we get together in the spring for 7v7 tournaments. However, there is nothing mandatory in the spring.

Do students need experience to join?

Yes, club soccer is a competitive sport. We are athletes that still have a love for soccer and play at a high level. Please come to tryouts! We would love to see what you have to offer.
