How many days and hours a week do you practice?
There are no required practices. The boat, however, goes out twice a day Mon-Fri during the semester and you can sign up to ride two times each week.
Typically where are your tournaments and practices held?
Our competitions are held at a few different cable parks and lakes in Texas. We have competitions in Waco at BSR Cable Park, Austin at Next Level Ride and Texas Ski Ranch, and a couple other competitions that change locations.
What schools do you compete against?
We compete in the Collegiate Wake Tour, and compete against schools across the nation.
What are the dues for this club team?
The dues for the team are $275 a semester or $475 a year. Your dues pay for your gas for weekly ride times, competition entry fees, intramural entry fees, and some of the events we have throughout the year.
When is your season?
Our season runs as long as we can bear getting in the water- typically August-December and March-May.
Do you need to have experience to join?
We do not require any prior experience to join. However, we do have tryouts to see how well you wakeboard (do not let this intimidate you, we have people learn the day of their tryout).
Do you wakesurf or wakeskate?
We primarily wakeboard, but we participate in all sports that have wake in the name.
