Are there tryouts for your team?
Yes, we hold tryouts once a year, in the beginning of the fall semester. We do not consistently hold tryouts in the spring, but we have in the past, around March. It is never too late to join! We are very flexible on picking up individuals throughout the semester who desire to join the team. Tryouts are very low-key and just an opportunity for us to get to know those that are interested!

How many days and hours a week do you practice?
We have no set practices. Members are expected to visit the lake at least 4 times a month, attend all meetings possible (can miss 2), and 2 out of 3 tournaments a semester.

Typically where are your tournaments and practices held?
Tournaments are hosted in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas- in September and April. Our ski lake is 7 minutes away from campus, down University Parks, near Eastland Lakes (Baylor's Ropes Course).

What schools do you compete against?
We are in the South Central Region. It is the #1 region in the nation, and consistently draws the most talented water skiers from all over the world. It includes the following universities: Baylor University, University of Louisiana Lafayette, University of Louisiana Monroe, University of Texas, Texas A&M University, Texas State University, and the University of Arkansas.

What are the dues for this club team?
Dues are usually $200 per semester, and include unlimited boat and lake usage, all boat gas, equipment, tournament entrance fees, transportation to and from tournaments, hotels for around 6 nights, and some meals.

When is your season?
Fall: Our Regional Tournament (main) is held typically at the end of September or the beginning of October after the other 2 tourneys have been held (also in September). If we qualify for the National Tournament, this is held several weeks after the Regional tournament.

Spring: 3 tournaments are held in March and April, and the Baylor team typically hosts one of these annually.

Do you need to have experience to join?
Water savvy individuals are preferable, but if you are willing to learn, and are dedicated to improvement with a good attitude, we are excited to have you aboard!
