The Rock

The Rock

The Rock is Baylor’s 53 ft freestanding climbing wall, and 13 ft. bouldering pit, located in the McClane Student Life Center. The Rock, and all gear needed to climb, are free for students, faculty and staff.

Over 30 roped climbs, and 33 bouldering problems can be found at the Rock. Our roped climbing ranges in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.13, and our boulders cover the range between V0 and V8. The Rock has several unique features, including overhangs, slabs, imitation natural features, and even a crack formation for crack climbing.

The Rock offers multiple clinics at the Rock as well, including belay clinics, lead climbing, and an introduction to outdoor climbing.

Clinics
