Campus Recreation provides a variety of job opportunities for students with all types of interests, strengths, skills and personalities. Positions are available in Aquatics, Facilities, Fitness, Intramural Sports and Outdoor Adventure. STUDENT EMPLOYMENT POSITIONSAdministrative Student Assistant - join the "A"-Team and work "behind the scenes" in the Campus Rec Office; previous clerical experience preferred. All fall 2018 positions have been filled.
Bike Shop Tech - Help others keep their bike in good working order. Assist visitors with basic bike maintenance and repairs such as fixing flats, changing tires, adjusting brakes and shifters. Please email completed applications to Daniel Ezell.
Equipment Rental Staff - equip the students, faculty, and staff of Baylor University for their adventures in the great outdoors by coordinating gear at the SLC equipment room.
Student Leader - put your outdoors skills to use by leading trip participants and conducting skills clinics. Develop leadership skills while teaching skills and safety to others. To qualify for a Student Leader position, individuals must work one or more of the above positions for at least one semester.
Challenge Course Facilitator - encourage groups to learn and grow as they encounter and overcome physical and mental challenges presented by our outdoor ropes course at Eastland Lakes; certification required. Contact Jeremy Yarbrough for more information regarding this position.
The Department of Campus Recreation offers Graduate Assistantships in Facilities, Sport Clubs, Marketing, Outdoor Adventure and Intramural Sports. Graduate Assistants are paid 20 hours per week, and a partial scholarship for tuition is available. Acceptance into Baylor Graduate School is required to be considered as an application.
