Recommended prerequisite: "Intermediate Introduction to the Canvas Learning Management System"
Canvas Core is an all-day session devoted to gaining a deeper understanding of the Canvas learning management system. In addition to a general introduction, this course further explores grades, assignments and assessments, collaborative spaces, media integration, and instructional design. This session will give attendees the opportunity to construct a Canvas course from scratch (please be prepared to access relevant course documents and information via a flash drive or some other network-accessible resource such as Box).
NOTE: A boxed lunch will be provided at no additional cost. Participants are encouraged to register for this seminar at least one week in advance to ensure they get included in the headcount for lunch.
Users must have access to a course or request a demo course in Canvas to participate in this seminar. To request a demo course, please complete the Canvas Course Request Form (faculty/staff only) at least one business day prior to the seminar. Graduate students who are instructors of record may request a demo course by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
