| Description | Audience: Faculty/Staff, Teachers of Record, Graduate Students Led by Joanna Schmidt and Jay Jay Stroup from Texas Christian University’s New Media Writing Studio, this SET will allow attendees to participate in a 40 minute workshop in which they are taught how to record, edit, and post a 30 second video interview. The workshop will model for participants what their students might go through when asked to produce digital media for a grade. Afterwards, the group will compare their experiences and discuss the affordances of digital media assignments in the university classroom. While desktop computers will be available for student use, we encourage participants to bring laptops with webcams. Cellphones or tablets with video recording capabilities will also suffice. |
